With just six weeks to go before NEC opens its doors on eight specialist shows which, together, add up to the largest Food and Drink trade event in the UK this year, in the first of two issues of Food & Drink Matters for February we are giving readers a taste of what is on offer.

Foodex, previously known as Foodex Meatex and the most established event for processing and packaging in the UK, has been re-branded to better communicate the broad appeal of the show from meat and poultry, on to fish, dairy, fruit, vegetables, drinks, confectionery, cereals, organics and ready meals.

Baking Industry Exhibition (BIE) will continue to focus on the whole range of production environments including volume production, craft baking, packaging and bake-off

Food & Drink Expo plays host to 600 exhibitors, including many top brands. Whether you are a retailer, wholesaler, restaurant operator or manufacturer, this is the event for you. It covers every food category imaginable, including bakery, dairy, meat and fish, soft drinks, and beer, wines and spirits.

Convenience Retailing Show (CRS) incorporating Café+ and the Off Licence Show offer visitors in the café, restaurant and food-to-go sectors the chance to improve their service and product offerings and increase profitability

International Forecourt & Fuel Equipment Show (IFFE) has established itself as the key event for those who want to make more profits at the pumps.

The new Food & Drink Logistics Show looks at every aspect of supply chain distribution and storage. Particular emphasis is on food and drink safety, sustainability and security as well as data management.
