Food and Drink Matters

In with the new!

March 21-24 Birmingham NEC

The most important element of any exhibition is its exhibitors and this year sees a strong line up of both new and regular exhibitors. And at Foodex this year's accent is very firmly on innovation as the brief selection below proves.

Interfood Technology (Q060) has one of the largest stands at Foodex and will introduce a number of developments. A new generation of injectors from Schroeder will be a central feature, offering even greater consistency and hygienic design.  All new in slicing, and on show for the first time in the UK, is the Weber 905 slicer.  The biggest slicer in its class, it has a cutting throat capable of accommodating six 4 x 4 logs simultaneously.

Sirane (W031) will be launching a range of lightweight films for dry, frozen, chilled and cookable foods. These are rustic and retro in appearance combining natural and functional materials and in-house proprietary processes, says the company.

Food Processing Faraday (N050) will be promoting its new Innovation Portfolio Management service which aims to offer those in the food supply chain competitive advantage through technology.

Sausage processors will be especially interested in viewing Reiser (UK)'s new high-speed V

Reiser (RO40) will show off the Vemag LPG208 Length Portioning Machine the fastest natural casing linker in the industry.

Avery Berkel (U068) is launching XM, part of the Xtra range of weighing systems. The XM is a new class of counter scale that is set to revolutionise in-store customer service and improve sales for retailers.

Fortress Technology (R051) will display the company's latest Vector Integrated Conveyor System which has been recently enhanced to meet new supermarket retailer standards. For example, it now features an alarm - either audible or visual - to indicate when there has been metal rejects in order to help identify potential issues early.
